TV Guide left out the next part: “I think the great thing about Glee for me anyway, the greatest thrill, is that I get these 14 year old kids coming up to me vibrating out of their bodies, saying how happy Glee makes them. And when I have the time and I’m not eating and don’t want to be bothered, I’ll give them a moment of my time.”  Ha!

So, obviously, we have very small love for Chloe Sevigny right now.  The New York Times agrees, kind of:

It seemed as if “Glee,” which received four nominations, would be skunked after Jane Lynch failed to win for best supporting actress, but then came its surprising win for best comedy or musical series against one of the strongest fields of the night. The view from here: It may have been the only category where the four losing nominees were all better than the winner.

Second, the Dress.

As you can see above (courtesy the AP), our Jane Lynch wore an olive dress to the Golden Globes.  Unfortunately, it was one of those days when it just would have been easier to wear pants: it was pouring rain -  we in LA have been basking in the spring sun much too long – and the dresses had a heck of a time keeping their trains dry and on time.  In any case, she did look very pretty.  We guess Ellen, Scully, and Hillary Clinton continue to dominate the dressing rooms in the pantsuit section of the store.

Backstage, Newsweek learned 1) Suri Cruise is one of Glee‘s biggest fans and 2) Jane Lynch is very flattered: “I take that as a compliment. The Church of Scientology is very powerful.”

And this one just came through our inbox this morning: it must have been a press junket on a field trip to the Glee set, as E! talks to Jane Lynch about her Golden Globe nomination. Best part is when Jane explains her philanthropy: “I’m a giver.” Worst part is when we are forced to visualize Sue Sylvester having “angry sex” with Will. Ew.

Her contenders, as if they matter, are Jane Adams in Hung; Rose Byrne in Damages; Janet McTeer in Into the Storm; and Chloe Sevigny in Big Love.  We haven’t seen any of these other shows, but we know Jane handily beats ‘em all.

UPDATE:  Entertainment Weekly has a great, quick interview with Jane on her reaction to the nomination.  Aw.
