We were adding all sorts of interesting videos to our nifty new YouTube channel when we stumbled upon this: Jane Lynch in a 1997 commercial for that classic all-American car found in every Enterprise rental car lot, the Ford Taurus. The commercial is short, so we won’t spoil anything other than to say hey! That’s John Corbett!!

JANE LYNCH WILL VOGUE

That’s right. Jane Lynch not only will be singing “Physical” with Olivia Newton-John, but will be singing – and filming a video for – “Vogue” during the all-Madonna episode of Glee. That Madge – she’s got great arms and great musics. We hear it now: Greta Garbo and Monroe/Detrich and DiMaggio/Jane Lynch, Marlon Brando, Jimmy Dean/On the cover of a magazine. We. Cannot. Wait.

In other news, a new website called Whose Voice is That? does an enormous service to the Jane Lynch Project by culling together a grip of Jane’s voiceover roles. They have her Frosted Flakes commercial (below) and a bevy – and we mean a bevy – of other videos and sounds. We can’t articulate how amazingly awesome this is.

We are absolutely loving these “Behind the Fun” clips from XBox, which are being awesomely released concurrently with the “More Fun Time” spots (also with Jane Lynch). Below, the newest addition to the series. All we have to say is, “MMM.”

Jane Lynch in 2001 Tilex Commercial

Here’s a gem: perusing YouTube, as we do on Friday nights when we’re dog sick with the cold (or maybe swine flu? Hopefully not), we found a video compilation of CBS commercials, circa 2001. Now, we have no idea why someone would collect these; regardless, watching this reel was like watching a home video of your brother getting hit in the groin with a bat and realizing that you also caught a UFO in the upper left hand corner of the screen: Jane shows up in a 2001 commercial for Tilex. She’s channeling Joan Lundon big time as she gives off a few glimmers of her all-knowing, housewife-approved grin.

The first commercial here is for Flonase. Remember Flonase? Skip over Flonase and straight to 0:35 for Jane answering Jennifer from San Francisco’s pressing question about bathroom scum.
