Whoaz, we had a drought of news lately, then it came flooding in this week.  Grab your boat, here we go:

  • Metro interviews Jane, with this bit about the origins of her Sue Sylvester:

Did you base Sue on someone you knew?

I had a teacher in college, a drama teacher, and she was feared and loved by everybody. No one was unaffected by her. When she walked through the hall – and she always wore, like, shawls, and she was very dramatic, and she was about 6ft tall – people were like [sucks in her breath in fear]. You didn’t want her to look at you but you died if she didn’t. You wanted her to see you and you wanted her to think you were somebody but, in a way, that made you a target too because she could be awful. And I think that’s who I was doing with Sue.

  • As you may recall, Jane will be in a little ol’ play called 8 with Brad Pitt, George Clooney, and a bunch of other people who are not usually otherwise starring in films and winning Oscars and so on. There’s an interview with her about the play here, and for those of us who could afford the $$$ tickets (all proceeds go to charity), the play will livestream here.  Technology!
  • Jane Lynch and Mitt Romney walk into a NASCAR
  • And Jane will be the commencement speaker at Smith College in May.  If you need to go back to your college graduation and re-live the anticipation and excitement and optimism you had for life and can’t wait for Jane’s speech to be YouTube’d, please see Amy Poehler’s speech at Haaaaavard here and Steve Jobs’s at Staaaaaanford here.
