As if Tina Fey and Amy Poehler weren’t enough this week, we also have word that Jane will be in a play about the Proposition 8 trials with Dr. Ross George Clooney.  In the aptly titled 8, she’ll play Maggie Gallagher, the co-founder of the National Organization for Marriage (boo!  hiss!!).  Clooney and the President of the United States Martin Sheen will play the plaintiffs’ lead counsels.  The play is scheduled for March 3 at the Wilshire Ebell Theater here in LA, with proceeds going to the American Foundation for Equal Rights.  And there will be a lot of proceeds – tickets start at $500 each and go all the way up to $250,000 for “Presenting Sponsors.”

In other news:  Criminal Minds really, really, really wants to have Jane back to reprise her role as Reid’s mom, but as you undoubtedly know from your real life experience, scheduling is hard.  Cross your fingers, people, and let’s hope they make it happen.
