Jane Lynch is hosting Vh1′s Do Something Awards, which celebrates people who actually, you know, do something.  This promo pokes fun of Vh1′s standard horrific reality-show-slash-race-to-the-bottom fare (really, what happened to the innocent greatness that was Pop-Up Video?), uncomfortably acknowledges that the people who have dedicated air time are, sadly, the people who really do nothing, and challenges you to rise above all this good-for-nothing-ness.  How’s that for confusing mixed messaging?
