For you Glee fans, we have some Glee news; for those interested in Jane beyond Glee (we like to call this “Jane+”), we have some non-Glee news. Something for everyone this balmy Monday morning.
First, Glee. Tuesday’s episode introduces a potential beau for Kurt named Blaine (incidentally, Blaine is the guy who broke up Barbie and Ken. No, really). Jane commented on how the show provides role models:
In another interview, Jane Lynch tells US News that Sue Sylvester will get married later in the season. The same article tells us that Gwyneth Paltrow is the latest guest to star on the show and that Gwenyth’s kids are named Apple and Moses? Well, the article didn’t actually tell us that; it name dropped the pair as if everyone is fully aware that Gwyneth chose to christen her children with names heavy on the Biblical overtones.
Second, not Glee. Last Thursday, Jane was at the BAFTA Brittania Awards on Thursday night to present the Charlie Chaplin Award for Excellence in Comedy to none other than Betty White. TV Guide caught this interview with her right before the ceremony:
A shortened version of the actual presentation of the award to Betty White follows, but if anyone has the full clip, send it our way.
Finally, after you’ve done your Black Friday shopping the day after Thanksgiving, you’ll probably be so exhausted that you won’t mind watching some drama-free television. Lucky for you, Jane will host “TV’s Funniest Holiday Moments: A Paley Center for Media Special.” The Paley Center promises to feature Friends (that Thanksgiving episode was one of the best ever) (remember when Jane Lynch was on Friends?) and Married with Children (remember when Jane Lynch was on Married with Children?) We think a fun drinking game would be to take one shot for every show featured that Jane was in, two shots for every show where she actually had a line or two; and five shots if she was part of that show’s funniest holiday moment. In other words: save some of that Thanksgiving punch.
