Ok, we’ll start with the most exciting news, ever, first: as we posted on Sunday, Jane Lynch has been tapped to host the October 9 episode of SNL. This was apparently just a rumor that only just now (literally) has been confirmed by Ryan Murphy. Just a few short weeks ago, Jane stated though she would be “terrified” if offered the gig, she “absolutely” would host SNL if asked. And, while this may have had absolutely nothing to do with it, we are super proud to say that a fair number of articles point to our Facebook campaign (Jane Lynch to Host SNL (Please?)!) as a potential factor that may have helped nudge the spotlight her way. So, if you were any one of the 3,110+ fans who signed on: f’yah! This certainly will be remembered during your mid-year reviews.

Other news: The Jane Lynch-as-Sue-Sylvester wax figure was unveiled at Madame Tussaud’s Hollywood outpost last week. Frankly, we find wax figures a little scary, like clowns and overpriced heirloom tomatoes. Even Jane is a little freaked out when she saw herself in wax: “I feel like I’m dead!” Radar Online has a quick video interview with her soon after the show and tell, and Madame Tussaud was kind enough to post this pic of the real Jane Lynch and the waxy Sue Sylvester. And, just by way of background, ET had a little segment waxing poetic about the process; we posted the clip over here.
