This is so cute.  Apparently, Jane and Lara’s daughter love this Nickelodeon show called iCarly, about a girl who has her own web television show.  No, really?  Kids these days!!  As it happens, Jane Lynch will be guesting on the show as a “much-mentioned-but-never-before-seen mom of Jennette McCurdy’s Sam.” (To be honest, we do not have cable, and we have never heard of this show, so to us, this sounds like she’s putting a face to the otherwise much-heard-mow-mowing-but-never-before-seen teachers of Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts gang.).  According to the Wikipedia synopsis of the show, the father also is frequently mentioned but never seen.  What does the success of a show like this say about Internet culture and digital proxy parenting?  Kids these days!!  The episode will air next season.

In more immediate (and very exciting!) news, Jane is slated to have her very own panel, “In Conversation with Jane Lynch,” next Saturday at 1:30 here in LA as part of Outfest 2010.  This after being honored with the 2010 Outfest Achievement Award!  So cool!  Tickets are only $13 (psst – over here on Goldstar, they’re only $6.50 + $3.00 processing fee = cheaper than $13).  We are totally going, but no, we will not stalk her TMZ-style.  We will stalk her Solid Snake-style: with stealth and knowing when to run away in excitement, fear, and/or anxiety, like all good fans.
