Two things people texted us to say on Sunday night: “ROBBERY” and “Oh, she looks so pretty!” Let’s address these in order.
So, obviously, we have very small love for Chloe Sevigny right now. The New York Times agrees, kind of:
It seemed as if “Glee,” which received four nominations, would be skunked after Jane Lynch failed to win for best supporting actress, but then came its surprising win for best comedy or musical series against one of the strongest fields of the night. The view from here: It may have been the only category where the four losing nominees were all better than the winner.
Second, the Dress.
As you can see above (courtesy the AP), our Jane Lynch wore an olive dress to the Golden Globes. Unfortunately, it was one of those days when it just would have been easier to wear pants: it was pouring rain - we in LA have been basking in the spring sun much too long – and the dresses had a heck of a time keeping their trains dry and on time. In any case, she did look very pretty. We guess Ellen, Scully, and Hillary Clinton continue to dominate the dressing rooms in the pantsuit section of the store.
Backstage, Newsweek learned 1) Suri Cruise is one of Glee‘s biggest fans and 2) Jane Lynch is very flattered: “I take that as a compliment. The Church of Scientology is very powerful.”
Clips and more clips of her walking the red carpet.
In the first, Jane Lynch tells the LA Times what she has in her purse, and what very special thing she is doing at that exact moment.
Ryan Seacrest here interviews our Jane. She mentions that she is there with her girlfriend (aw!), and Ryan shows a clip of her getting crapped on, literally, during the Role Models premiere.
TV Guide also gets the chance to interview Jane, this time with the man with the lesbian haircut, Matthew Morrison:
Here, Jane Lynch shares interview time with Artie, the kid in the wheelchair.
More good interviews and pics to come as we have time to cull through the press and videos. In the meantime, start lobbying Mr. and Mrs. Emmy, now. Conan has Team Conan, we’re going to start Team Lynch.
