The Songs in Sue Sylvester’s Heart

Jane Lynch to Host SNL (Please?)! on Facebook

Michael Slezak over at Entertainment Weekly asked our Jane what unsung song is in Sue Sylvester’s heart.  Jane’s answer: Charlene’s “I’ve Been to Paradise, but I’ve Never Been to Me.”

That’s ok, Jane, but we’ve got other songs on our wishlist.  Our top 5 songs we hope Sue Sylvester will sing, not counting a duet with Cookie Monster on “‘C’ is for Cookie”:

  1. Madonna’s “This Used to Be My Playground”
  2. Whitney Houston’s “I’m Every Woman”
  3. Duran Duran’s “Hungry Like a Wolf”
  4. Santa Esmeralda’s version of “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood”, yes, exactly like that in Kill Bill.
  5. Belle & Sebastian’s “My Wandering Days Are Over”

Time will tell if Sue Sylvester will soften up enough for a moment to pay homage to Jane’s romance-language serenade to Steve Carell’s character in The 40-year-old Virgin, below.

Cuando limpiado mi cuarto
No encuentro nada
Adonde va con tanta prisa?
Al partido de futbol
When my room is cleaned
I can find nothing.
Where are you going?
To a football game.
