Jane Lynch popped up on NPR’s Fresh Air this morning, and we just gathered around the computer to have a listen the way people gathered to listen to FDR’s fireside chats. Terry does a pretty good job – taking us from Glee to the serenade to Steve Carell in 40 Year Old Virgin. Perhaps the best part is when Terry Gross awkwardly broaches the subject of Jane Lynch’s lesbianism, as she brings up Christy Cummings not once, but twice. When it finally comes up, Jane talks about her self-discovery (“Oh man, really?“) and internalized homophobia. She also discusses her “stock old lady voice” perfect for commercials. And, in a personal dream come true, she recites her lines from the Nexium commercial. It’s a 24 minute interview. Listen to it here.
