We like to joke that Jane Lynch has been in every television show ever made, but the reality is that she’s been in almost every television show ever made. As long as there is tv, there will be shows for Jane Lynch to be in. The following is our little Amazon wish list of television shows that we hope, just hope, to find our favorite Jane:
- It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Sure, Jane runs a slight risk of re-creating her role in Arrested Development as Cindi Lightballoon, but the frenetic, screwball-on-crack energy of It’s Always Sunny would allow her to unleash without nary the eye of the bo-ring network censors.
- 30 Rock. Jane works best when she has similarly minded people to work with (see Steve Carell, Jennifer Coolidge, Will Ferrell). Hello, Tina Fey.
- The Ellen Show. We don’t know how on earth she hasn’t guested on Ellen, but c’mon! Two great lezzie comediennes bouncing off each other? This would be the best thing since Ellen asked Jodie Foster if the Coppertone girl still had treats in her pants.
- Dexter. Jane Lynch in a drama-slash-sometime-comedy (emphasis on “slash”)? Yes – with her great dramatic turn as Diana Reid, schizophrenic mother of Spencer, in Criminal Minds, it’s clear that she’s trying to expand her dramatic horizons. Let’s build those wings, one feather at at a time.
- Sesame Street. We would love, love to see Jane singing and dancing with Elmo and om nom nom-ing with Cookie Monster. She could teach us how she “c”‘s it.

WHAT TO DO NOW?
